□ Name: Lexington
□ Series: Gargoyles
□ Canon point: After Xanatos is arrested.
□ History:
Lexington was hatched around the same time as Brooklyn and Broadway in the rookery in Castle Wyvern. He grew up with them, his clan sharing the castle with humans who didn't like or trust them. But he still managed an enjoyable life in a very small world. Like his entire clan, except for Goliath, during this time he had no name.

In the year 994, Vikings assaulted the castle but were defeated by the gargoyles as soon as the sun set. The next night found Lex and Brooklyn keep away with Bronx, when a young boy curiously approached the. Their short conversation was interrupted by his mother, fearing her son would be hurt by the "monsters" humans saw them as. In a small show of temper, Lex and Brooklyn purposely scared the humans, earning themselves, Broadway, and Bronx being sent to the rookery...a punishment that saved their lives.

The next night when they emerged, the castle had been ransacked. The humans were gone and their enter clan had been smashed in their sleep, leaving only them, Hudson, and Goliath. Leaving immediately, they sought out the Vikings to save the humans and avenge their friends. They managed to defeat the army, but the Magus who served the Princess appeared, believing their appearance cost the princess her life and cursing them to sleep until the conditions to the spell were met.

1000 years passed and the clan awoke to find their castle relocated to the top of a tall skyscraper in Manhattan. The man responsible, Xanatos, explained that they were the last of their kind and that he awakened him to befriend them. It was then that the castle was attacked by mysterious people with weapons none of the gargoyles had seen. They fought but the intruders stole something and escaped, with Lexington realizing immediately after that the helicopter they escaped in was a machine.

Afterwards Lex, Brooklyn, and Broadway explored the building, taking a particular interest in the various equipment in the kitchen, though exploration ended with the kitchen becoming a disaster area. As they left they spotted Goliath talking to a human woman, a detective called Elisa who expressed an interest in the clan.

The next night, the Trio left the castle to explore the new world, seeing a lot of the city and exploring until there wings were tired. Lex even managed to try...and blow up, a motorcycle after accidentally scaring the rider away. It was nearly dawn when they returned, but Goliath wasn't back yet and didn't return until the next night. During the recount of why he hadn't returned, Goliath called Hudson by the name he'd chosen, prompting the Trio to decide on their names and Bronx's. The same night, they were reunited with Goliath's second-in-command, who had survived the massacre and apparently been wokem separately. With her insistence they helped Xanatos retrieve what was stolen their first night in New York.

The Trio was assigned a tower just off the island, which they infiltrated with a bit of difficulty, and Lex got the disk they were after before making a hasty escape. The same night, they were attacked by robots in Goliath's likeness that Xanatos created. Taken out early, Lex didn't contribute anything to this fight at all. It was revealed the second-in-command was siding with Xanatos, harboring a grudge against humanity and the fact that she'd been in on the plan the let the Vikings sack the castle 1000 years earlier, as well as having the name Demona. They were supposed to be lured away because they wouldn't have een killed and the castle would have been theirs.

Elisa came to their rescue and in the chaos Demona fell to her presumed death and Xanatos was arrested. With the castle theirs again for the time being they could focus on other things, like adjusting to the new world and everything in it.

□ Personality:
Lex is a lighthearted person who, despite the obvious fact that the majority of humans generally fear and hate gargoyles, holds no ill will toward them. He's always with his rookery brothers Brooklyn and Broadway, and/or playing with Bronx. He can joke and tease, and be teased, and it's normally harmless, but does occasionally bicker with friends when desires or opinions clash.

Even though he knows that they need to be careful of who they reveal themselves to, he doesn't believe the clan can hide from the world in their castle and that there are other people in the world who would accept them if they're willing to look for them. If he thinks he can approach someone without there being trouble he will, but he knows not to fully trust and not to tell too much from the start. He doesn't take to being deceived well at all, and someone abusing that trust could easily ruin the odds of him putting his confidence in anyone new ever again, as well as drive him to reckless anger whenever the betrayer is involved. An example is The Pack, who pretended to want his friendship to get him to bring Goliath so they could hunt them for sport. Afterwards Lex would lose his temper and his sense of priorities in favor of hunting them down almost every time they resurface.

He cares deeply for the clan and his friends, and would do anything in his power for them. His sense of loyalty means more often than not he'll obey the leader's orders even if he has reservations, unless he truly believes that something else is the right way to go.

Curious about the world they've found themselves in, he's quick to investigate technology and willing to poke around new places. He likes to try new things and see how things work, but is still content to simply relax with a book or watch TV rather than directly tinker with anything. He has a great potential for technolgy and building things when he wants or needs to.

As a warrior he seems fairly intuitive but sometimes easily riled. He can improvise at times to tilt the odds in his favor and rarely hesitates to join the fray.

□ Age: 36 (18)
□ Gender: Male
□ Appearance:
Lexington is a small gargoyle with olive-colored skin and large black eyes, that make him look younger than he is. His hands and feet end in sharp talons and his lower jaw protrudes a bit while his lower fangs are always visible. He stands about chest height on most people when he stands upright. His tail is long and prehensile, able to hold things should he need it to.

Unlike most gargoyles, his wings are a membrane stretched between his arms and legs, additionally supported by two extra structures just beneath his arms. They;re a darker color than his skin on the back and paler than it on the underside, and are pierced at the waist to allow him to wear the belt that holds up his loincloth.

When angered, his eyes glow white.

□ Abilities/Powers:
Despite his small size, Lexington has strength noticeably above that of a human. He's able to claw steel and stone, and grip either with enough force to climb surfaces made of either. He's also able to bend or tear steel up to a foot thick, lift heavy objects, and crush metal or stone like any other gargoyle.

Also like all gargoyles, he can also glide on air currents and is good at maneuvering in midair. His night vision allows him to see in almost no light at all.

During the day he's forced to turn to stone. This is how gargoyles sleep, and during this he time can heal most damage aside from death or dismemberment. He is completely vulnerable in this state, unaware of anything that happens around him. Should he be smashed, he would die.

□ Personal Items:
Just his belt, loincloth, and Bronx. And the laptop he had at the castle.

Bronx is a gargbeast, and shares all gargoyle abilities except gliding and the prehensile tail, since he has neither. Large and fairly heavy, only Goliath can actually glide easily while carrying him. It takes a pair of any of the others since he's just large enough to easily carry one rider on his back. He can't speak and is the gargoyle equivalent to a dog, though he does seem to have very little trouble understanding speech.

□ First Person Sample: [Voice]
Well, let's see how this goes, since this is the best way to get in touch with people...you can hear me right?

[He pauses a moment before continuing.]

I guess that there are a few of us that are new citizens here. So, I was wondering what kind of places anyone, who's willing to share, came from. I had just moved to Manhattan.

[It wasn't a lie, the move just wasn't voluntary.]
